Obituary for Teresa G. Zapata (Gonzalez)

Teresa G. Zapata, born on October 3, 1935 in Eagle Pass, Tx passed away on December 22, 2014. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maclovio Gonzalez; eight sisters and one brother. Teresa is survived by her husband of 37 years, Alfredo B. Zapata; daughters, Sylvia Lopez and Lily Campos; son-in-law, Enrique Campos and two grandsons, Adrian and Nicholas.
She looked forward to and attended several high school class reunions. Teresa made many friends throughout the years. She fondly recalled her job and people she met while working at W.T. Grants Service Center in the mid 70's. She became a full time housewife after marrying Alfredo in 1977. She took care of a friend's babies and became known as “momma Terry” to beloved twin girls, Deana and Diana.
She also became known as “Mimi” by her two grandsons. She had a few hobbies during her life. She enjoyed traveling, painting and gardening. Teresa is fondly remembered for hosting an annual party celebrating Jesus' birthday.
Her beautiful smile and witty sense of humor will be missed by many.
