Thomas George Isaly
Thomas George Isaly, 70, of Crosby, Texas went to be with our Lord on August 5, 2015. He fought cancer valiantly and with great strength for almost 3 years before God called him home.
Tom was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 19, 1945. He was the oldest of three children born to Shirley George and Earl William Isaly, who have preceded him in death. He graduated from Whetstone High School, Columbus, Ohio in 1963. He attended Case institute of Technology and later graduated from Ohio State University in 1968 with a degree in Economics. Tom married his wife of 47 years, Jean Medley Isaly. They were blessed with one son, Matthew Thomas Isaly.
Tom’s career was varied and reflected his wide range of interests. He became a Special Agent with the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover. He distinguished himself with several Letters of Accommodation in Memphis, Tennessee and Newport News Virginia. He later became a private investigator in Houston, Texas. He retired from Cooper T. Smith as the comptroller. Tom was a man of great faith and tremendous integrity. He was known for his quick wit, athletic ability and intellect. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
Tom is survived by his wife, Jean Medley Isaly; their son, Matthew Thomas Isaly and his wife, Kimberly Isaly; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Catherine Isaly of Cypress, Texas; one brother, Charles Isaly, of Scottsdale, AZ, and his sister, Patricia Isaly Withycombe of Paradise Valley, AZ.
