Condolences

Condolence From: Mark Keller
Condolence: Thanks to everyone for their support to and for the immediate and extended family & friends. Yesterday’s services were truly comforting. The words “Memory” and “Memories” were used many times and by a number of different people over the last few days. There’s a lot of power in those two simple words and I truly appreciate every memory that was shared with me. It’s incredible how helpful and comforting the sharing of memories can be.

Here is a very personal story. I’ve been struggling with it over the last several days and kept asking myself “Why? Why now? Why? What’s the reason? There has got to be a reason! What is it? What is it? I’ve got to know! I’ve *got* to make some kind of sense of this!!! I finally came to this conclusion today and it has helped me a lot, I’m sharing it now just in case it might help someone else too. Here it is…”I don’t know what the reason is or the reason why last Friday was the time, and may never know, maybe I’m not supposed to know, but I do know this…*there is* a reason. And knowing our all mighty has a reason is certainly reason enough for me. Whatever the reason may be, I trust in him.”

Here is another memory I’d like to share with everyone who reads this:

A late dear old friend of mine once told me, “Make a memory every day or you’ll lose that day forever”. Think about it. Where were you on your birthday, Christmas, Easter of last year? You remember, don’t you? You do. You even remember who was with you and what you were doing. See? Ok, now, where were you on the third Wednesday of January this year? You don’t know do you? That’s what I mean. If you don’t make a memory every day, you lose that day forever. You’ve got to make a memory *every* day!”

I had to agree with him. And by the way, as you can see, I’ve still not forgotten that day, some 25 years ago. The memory lives on. And now maybe it will with you too.

Yesterday was a day for memories, thoughts, looking inward, looking outward & looking back at memories as well as making more memories then and now. I have a lot of fond memories with Mom. Fond memories were made yesterday too for myself, our family and I hope for you too as well. I will never forget “yesterday” or “Mom” and what a great Mom and a wonderful person she will always be to me.

Thank You so very much,
Mark Keller
