Jerome Joseph Ashy, 75, of Porter went to be with his Lord Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was born Monday, December 1, 1941 to Willie and Janice Ashy. Jerome is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Bob Ligon. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Melba Ashy; sons, Jason Ashy and David Ashy; grandchildren, Amanda, Allison, Rikki, Anna and Alaina; sister, Winkie Klein and sons Lance and Brett Ligon and Bart Klein; and a host of other family members and friends. A visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Porter from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be 12:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Porter. A mass will be held at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, New Caney at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Jerome's family request donations be sent to the Knights of Columbus, Council #13166, St John of The Cross Catholic Church, 20000 Loop 494, New Caney, TX 77357.
