Condolence From: Melissa Martin
Condolence: Miss Lillie was like a second mother to me. We had a loving bond together and both shared the love of life and "chocolate". She always talked about how happy she and Jack were and how much they loved square dancing and playing Bridge!
She wrote poems to me and here is one she wrote April 22,2002:

A Gracious Lord

"Giving Comfort, Giving Grace,
No One Else can take Your Place,
In the depth of my Despair,
I always Feel Your Presence There."

Miss Lillie was so special to me and I know she is reunited with her love and the Lord.

Sincerely, Melissa

Condolence From: Rachel Young- Canyon Lake, TX
Condolence: Lillie Mae Shearin was a very sweet lady. I believe that the Lord
just wanted to spend some time with her on valentines day and he took her to a better place. I know she had a small frame, however she had a big heart. She was beautiful and always had a smile on her face. She was well dressed.
So now Steve Young and I pray for comfort to surround all of you who are called family to Lillie. The Lord is always near.

Condolence: LILLIE MAE SHEARIN, age 92, affectionately known as “Miss Lillie” was born May 16, 1924 in Wortham, Texas and left this earth on February 14, 2017 to be with her Lord and her beloved husband.

Preceded in death by husband Jack I. Shearin, parents William J. Garland, Sr. & Bertha Louise Lane, brother William James Garland, Jr., sister Nellie Marie Grogan, daughter-in-law Lee Anne Shearin, grandson Jason Owens. She leaves behind her 3 children: Linda Shearin Cherry & husband Reginald, Janice Shearin Wilson & husband Charles, Curtis Wayne Shearin; 4 grandchildren: DeAnna Stewart & husband Davant, Scott Cherry & wife Jennifer, Curtis Wilson & fiancée Christie Balerno, Julia Galindo & husband Rob; 7 great-grandchildren: Paul & Peter Stewart, Tyler & Juliana Cherry, Morgan & Jordan Wilson, Adrean Galindo; sister-in-law Wyvonne Shearin, numerous cousins, nieces & nephews.

To know Lillie was to love her. She loved chocolate, giving massages, writing poetry, singing hymns and Country & Western songs. She was a loving and faithful wife, a devoted and proud mother & grandmother. She cared greatly about her many friends. She will forever be remembered for her healing hands of massage. Her elaborately decorated cards, envelopes, & notes of encouragement will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to receive them.

When Daddy left this world in 1997, Mom was never the same. They had been married 55 years. They are back together and we know they are now happy again. We will miss our Mom as we have missed our Daddy every day.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with her service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas with interment to follow. Lillie will be laid to rest beside her husband in Rosewood Cemetery, Humble, Texas.
