Obituary for Ila Mae Threlkeld (Webb)

Ila Mae Threlkeld went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 19, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her sons, Roy Lyn Threlkeld and wife Young Yi; and Clyde Dee and wife Vicky Threlkeld; 7 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; sister, Jimmie Stearns; brother, Clinton Wood; as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

Ila was preceded in death by her husband, CD Threlkeld; parents, Maydell Wood and E.H. “Daddy Bo” Wood; sisters, Willie Maxine Smith, and Flora Lee Mitchell; and brothers John Henry Wood, and E.H. “Bo” Wood Jr.

Born Monday, October 17, 1927, Ila was a devoted wife, mother, and follower of Jesus.
Dee Dee, as she was called by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoyed life, music, visits from her family and friends, working jig-saw puzzles, and as all can attest, “loved Jesus a whole bunch.” When asked if she would change anything she had seen or done in her life, her answer, without even thinking about it, was always no. For her, life had been a fun, and wild ride with no regrets. Ila felt she had seen and done more than some could wish for.

The family wishes to thank all of those who took care of her over the past few months.

A celebration of her life will commence at 2:00 PM, February 25, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Home of Humble.
