ACCORDING TO BETA SIGMA PHI INTERNATIONAL, KATHLEEN PLEDGED IN OCTOBER 1969. BUT SHE WILL TELL YOU, SHE WROTE A CHECK FOR FEES ON HER BIRTHDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH.
SHE WAS A MEMBER OF UPSILON TAU CHAPTER. LATER PROGRESS TO XI ALPHA PI, XI MU ETA, PRECEPTOR OMICRON IOTA, LAUREATE RHO, AND EPSILON TAU MASTER.
IN HER CHAPTERS, SHE HELD ALL OFFICERS AND WORKED ON ALL COMMITTEES IN HOUSTON CITY COUNCIL OF BETA SIGMA PHI, SHE SERVED AS VICE-PRESIDENT, PARLIAMEMTAIN, AND ON SEVERAL COMMITTEES, MOSTLY SCRAPBOOK AND TABLE DECORATIONS. SHE LOVED TO PLAY WITH PAPER DOLLS – OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH ARTS AND CRAFTS. SHE WORKED ON ALL CONVENTIONS THE COUNCIL SPONSERED.
AT 15 YEARS OF AFFILIATION SHE RECEIVED THE ORDER OF THE ROSE. AT 25 YEARS – THE SILVER CIRCLE SHE NOW HOLD THE HIGHEST DEGREE – TORCHBEARER
SHE WAS A MEMBER OF BETA SIGMA PHI FOR 47 YEARS, WITH NO LEAVES OF ABSENCE, AND HAD PERFECT ATTENDEANCE FOR 40+ YEARS.
Life Story for Vivian Kathleen Coleman (Coleman)
Vivian Kathleen Coleman was born to Leslie and Vivian Coleman in Houston, Texas on the 27th day of September 1944.
Kathleen, as she was called by her family and friends, was a graduate of Sam Houston High School and after graduating she worked and went to business school.
She was smart, charming and a fun person. She made friends easily. She loved life, her family and friends. She worked at her family’s business for 30 plus years.
About three years ago, Kathleen had fallen and as part of her recovery, she moved to assisted living. She made friends with the residents and enjoyed her life there.
She went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2017.
Kathleen is survived by her brother Larry Coleman and his wife Verna; nieces Sarah Heller and her husband John and Cynthia Willing and her husband Erick; nephew Larry Coleman ll and his wife Lacey and their son Montgomery.
She is preceded in death by both her parents.
