Condolences

Condolence From: Leslie Gurlea
Condolence: I first meet Paul in New Jersey when I was 13 years old. He has been my friend for almost 50 years. I babysat for Sean and called him Mr. Downey. As my family grew closer with Paul (especially my dad) he asked my father if I could call him Paul. My father would not allow this and Mr. Downey became "Uncle Paul"! As time went on and I got to be an adult he became my dear friend/relative "Paul". I remember our special walks, the time in San Francisco and here in New Jersey. He was a big brother, and uncle, father all rolled into one. I will miss him with all my heart. Love you Paul. Leslie

Condolence: The Woodlands Camera Club will never be the same without our beloved "Sound Man." Our meetings and workshops will miss his smiling face and insightful questions and suggestions. I will miss the coffee chats we had planned.

Rest in the Lord my friend.

Condolence From: TOM
Condolence: After God removes wickedness and suffering, the earth will be transformed into a paradise. Then people will be able to live forever in perfect health and happiness. God’s Word foretells: “[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.”—Revelation 21:4.

In that new world, even dead ones will be brought back to life to share in those blessings: “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) That is why Jesus Christ could tell a repentant evildoer who expressed faith in him: “You will be with me in Paradise.”—Luke 23:43.
I HOPE THESE VERSES PROVIDE SOME COMFORT DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME

Condolence From: Teri Vigneux
Condolence: Paul thank you for raising a wonderful son who is the love of my life. I see so much of you in the best of him. I will miss our great conversations and your always thoughtful insights. I do wish we had more time with you because you had so much to share and you were always there just for the asking. But that would be our desire and I know that you had more roads to travel and so many more beautiful places to visit. We will miss you so much but be ever inspired by the passion and intensity that you lived your life until the very end. Namaste and peace be with you Paul!

Love
Teri

Condolence: To the Downey Family,

On behalf of all of us (Joe, Tina, Ava, Jack, Jim, and Pam) we pass along our deepest condolences.

We enjoyed getting to Paul the last few years , during several of their holiday visits to Southern California. Pam especially, loved to engage Paul in deep conversation on a variety of topics.

Great job Paul, raising a wonderful family.
You will be missed by all.

Condolence From: Charlie holmes
Condolence: Worked in the building where Paul was manager of logistics in late 80 s . I did t actually support his group but by logistics I ended up doing a lot for him. It took a good while to understand him and get somewhat close to him. But when I did I realized there was so much more to him that met the eye and was privileged to have that opportunity. He supported me on a lot of issues and was thankful to have him in my court. I watched him stand guard over his group and lead with a strong hand that sometimes made a lot of folks less than happy at the time but by the same token took their career paths serious and not for granted and guided a lot to success. That's a good manager. After getting to know him he opened up more on his love of the outdoors and how important it was to him. I was impressed. Many thanks to you Paul for supporting me and my prayers to your family.
