Ed (Big Ed) Don Hicks, passed away March 19, 2017 in Kingwood, Texas. Ed was born October 23, 1951 in Rives, MO.
Ed is survived by Wife Keeta Hicks; Children , Angela Allen (Doug), Stacie Roach (Amanda), Jesse Hicks (Alicia); Grandchildren, Jessen Sloan, C J Sloan, Sean Roach, Ella Hicks, Zoe Wiggins, Zach Young; Mother Juanita Venable; Sister Janet McKemie; Brother Mike Hicks and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Father J.E. Hicks; Stepfather Cliff Venable; beloved Grandson Kenny Roach; Sister Judy Conner; Brother in Law Michael McKemie.
Ed was involved in little league for 31 years. He loved being at the park watching the boys play. Ed worked for AT&T for 48 ½ years. He started at the age of 16; going to school half a day and working half the day.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 2 pm in Rosewood Humble Chapel with Reverend Tim Seippel to officiate, interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Claude Williams, Mark Philpot, Rosbil Martinez, Mike Johnson, Doug Allen, Rodney Martin, Jessen Sloan, Coda Sloan, along with honorary pallbearers Ken Moran and ALL Little League Players and volunteers across the world.
