Condolences

Condolence From: Sherry Ketchens Davis
Condolence: Dear Carolyn, Angie, Shari, Trey and family. I just learned of Buddy's passing. I am so sorry for your loss! My prayers are with you, that God's sweet presence will keep you and comfort you daily. Honestly, my heart sank at the realization of such a huge loss for us all here on earth. I believe Buddy had the Father's heart and mind for, not only the Body of Christ, but for the world around him. He was a true patriarch of the faith. That is one reason why it hurts so much to lose him in this spiritual warfare. God, please raise up others with the spiritual and intellectual integrity that Buddy so graciously exemplified! Our world needs them more than ever. Personally, my young life was radically changed under Buddy's discipleship teaching and ministry in Youthquake meetings, ETYO and Agape Force. He introduced me and so many other hungry, disoriented youth and adults to the ministries of such contemporary champions of faith as Francis Schaefer, Gordon Olson, Harry Conn, Winkie Pratney, Dean Sherman...and the rich library of all those powerful servants of yesteryear. Along with his own excellent teaching, Buddy connected us to them--and our lives were radically changed and enriched beyond measure. We realized that Christianity wasn't offering us religion and legalism, but a priceless intimate relationship with the all-loving, just, and almighty God. Buddy was that gateway minister for me. And I will forever be grateful. May he rest in Abba Father's loving arms. And may you each be ever nourished and strengthened to fulfill your own God-sized destinies. Love, Sherry

Condolence From: Alice and Gary Compton
Condolence: Alice and I wish to extend our condolences to the Hicks family. Up until our moving to Fort Worth we made good memories on a weekly and daily basis. The family was very supportive of Alice's counseling office and offered many tangible and untangible gifts. We are sure that he is having a hilarious time in heaven but we are missing him already.

Condolence From: Margie Reynolds
Condolence: Pastor Buddy was our pastor for many, many years at Deerbrook Church. He mentored me when I gave my life to Christ 25 years ago. He was always in prayer for my family and I will always be grateful for the godly council he gave us. He had a genuine smile every time I saw Him. I was so glad to see him several months ago when he was visiting a Sunday service at New Covenant Church. My condolences and my prayers to his precious family; I know this must be a very difficult time for all of them. My spirit rejoices knowing where he is now and that one day we will all see him again.
