Obituary for Philip John Baumann

Philip John Baumann
Philjp J. Baumann, 53, of Humble, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at his home in Atascocita. He was born in St. Louis, MO to Rose and Herman Baumann and lived in Florida and Virginia Beach but eventually moved to Texas in 1980 and made Humble his home.

Phil was a simple, but passionate man who valued family and friends above everything else in life.

For 32 years Phil actively contributed to his community as owner of Phil Baumann's Paint and Body. His customers became friends and his staff became family.

As the end of earthly life became more evident, Phil's primary concern was for those he was leaving behind.

In addition to his wife Misty E Baumann and his son Colby, R Baumann (his little buddy) Phil thought of his staff and friends as family and focussed on making sure everyone is taken care of. He is also survived by his sister Lynn Beckwith, his nephews Blake J Beckwith, Jayden Burkhalter and Brandon Burkhalter; as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, and friends.

Phil's battle with cancer was long and arduous. He was strong, courageous and humble. But, through it all he started a foundation, CureFest in hopes to help find a Cure for this disease. He raised over a million dollars towards research at MD Anderson.

Phil was quick to recognize the strength of hundreds of friends who fought this battle by his side. They are the REAL Fighters - He loved each and every one of them.
