Obituary for
Clifton Wayne Martin
Clifton Wayne Martin, age 63, of New Caney, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 11, 2017.
Clifton, precious husband of Francine D. Martin for 43 years, was one of the best to all who ever knew him: best husband, best father, best grandfather, best son, and best friend ever. Being a Christian, he always put God first in all that he ever did.
Clifton put the needs of others above his own needs. He was always ready to love, care for and lend a helping hand to others. He was loved by his family, friends and neighbors.
Clifton had an impeccable work ethic and took pride in his welding skills. Over the years he worked for various oil field companies in the Houston area until he became disabled due to the MSA, multiple system atrophy. He battled with MSA for over ten years and participated in medical research to help find a cure.
Clifton is preceded in death by son Kevin Martin. He is survived by his loving wife Francine, daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Dennis Wright, ten grandchildren: Hannah, Noah, Madeline, Katelynn, Brooklynn, Gracelynn, Chase, Christian, Faith, and Channing Alberth. He is survived by his parents, Ernest and Lillie Martin, sister Diana Rutherford, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, one nephew, and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry D. Hovater officiating, Pastor of The Little Country Church, in New Caney, TX.
