Obituary for Walter Logan Ammons

Walter Logan Ammons
Walter Logan Ammons, age 57, passed away Monday, June 20, 2017 at his home after complications from renal failure.
He was born on August 7, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas and was adopted by Walter Lee Ammons and Lora Jean Ammons-Louder. His parents were very blessed when Logan came into their lives.
Logan grew up in Pasadena, Texas and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1977. In high school he participated in FFA and played the trombone in the marching band all fours years. He competed in couples roller skating. He raised a quarter horse named King. Logan cherished the time that he spent with his parents and sister riding, competing in pole and barrel racing and riding in parades.
He was a member of South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas. He was a member of Demolay’s and was involved in many community service activities and fund raisers for those in need.
He attended Texas A & M and graduated with a finance degree in 1984.
He worked in the banking and real estate industry for many years of his life.
He is survived by his guardian angel and loving mother, Lora Jean Ammons-Louder of Pasadena, Texas, sister Lori Bush and brother-in-law Brian Sanford of Pasadena, Texas. He is also survived by his niece and husband, Cpt. Nicole and Luke Koehler of Ft. Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado, nephew and veteran Charles “Chaz” Bush of Pasadena, Texas, niece Taylor Lee Bush of Kemah, Texas; three great-nephews, Colin Ryan Meade, Camden Ray Bush, Fleetwood Bush, and great-niece Megyn Koehler. He is preceded in death by his father Walter Lee Ammons.
Logan will always be remembered by his family and friends as a wonderful son, brother and uncle. He cherished every moment he spent with his nieces and nephew and their children.
Logan was the most loving, caring, and giving person and was always willing to give of himself without hesitation. His giving spirit has continued even in death through his decision of being an organ donor which could help improve or save the lives of up to sixty people.
Logan will be greatly missed. He was the protector for his family and he loved unconditionally.
He can now spread his wings and soar with the angels.
