Condolences

Condolence From: Olga McGee
Condolence: The family of Olga Ramirez Gallegos extends it heartfelt sympathy to Billy's family. Olga's life crossed with Billy's when she searched for her brother, Joe Ramirez, Sr, who was listed as MIA in the Korean Conflict. Responding to an article she found in the newspaper, she wrote to the Chinese Republic inquiring about her brother. She soon received a letter from Joe saying he was a POW in China and there were others from the Houston area in the same camp, one being Billy Brown. The Houston families of the POW's were notified. Mom met Billy years later and I understand it was a joyful and tearful meeting. Billy came to mom's funeral October 2016. May he rest peacefully in the Kingdom of God.

Condolence: Today we mourn the loss of a very special man, our Uncle Billy Brown.
He was our hero. We loved him for so many reasons. His kindness to others his service to this country, his faithfulness to his family. Our life was so much richer having known such a wonderful man. An honor to call him UNCLE.

Condolence From: Marla Brown
Condolence: Post from Facebook: We lost a wonderful man yesterday! Billy Brown was a POW in Korea from 1951- 1953. He loved our country and was so proud to have served in the armed forces. I am so glad he was in my life for over 25 years. I am truly a better person just by being around him and his family. He was the most caring and loving individual. He always had a positive outlook on life with a constant glow of energy. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He is truly an American hero. We need more people in this world like him. He has left a legacy on earth in his two sons Kyle Brown and Glynn Brown. They exemplify the same caring, loving, positive energy that Billy did. I am truly blessed marrying Kyle and becoming a part of this wonderful family. As you can see in the picture he was not feeling well but still had that infectious smile. That day we were with him he could not walk, however, his love of music kept him dancing in his bed moving his toes and hands to the beat of music. My daughter Michele Brown helped him download some music to his iPad while in the rehab center- some Bee Gees songs, Saturday Night Fever and some Righteous Brother's songs. That man could dance! The last time I danced with him was last summer and he put me to shame! We will miss you Billy but your loving spirit will always be in our hearts! Keep on dancing in heaven!
