Ronald Dean Dodd, 74, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017, after a brief illness in a local Houston hospital. He was born August 15, 1942 in Avenger, Texas. He spent most of his years in Houston, Texas. He is survived by brother Jerry Dodd and wife Gloria of Silsbee, Texas; sisters, Twyla Gardner of Kingwood, Texas, Patsy Morgan of Spring, Texas, and Barbara Mechell and husband Charlie of Deer Park, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, D.C. and Mary Ann Dodd; brothers, John Dodd, Charles Dodd, and Carroll Dodd; sisters, Mary Ireland, Marceil Williams, and Lynda Johnson. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Both the viewing and funeral service will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home-Atascocita 17404 West Lake Houston Pkwy, Humble, Texas 77346. Ronnie will be dearly missed by all of his family and will be held in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Interment will be held at a later date in Henderson, Texas.
