Obituary for
Larry Allen McIntyre
Larry Allen McIntyre, 72, died on Friday, August 18, 2017 at his home in New Caney, TX after a long battle with cancer.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Sharlet; his son Brian; his son Dale and wife, Sina; his son Stephen and wife, Erin; and his daughter Kara and husband, Foster. He also leaves his grandchildren: Patrick, Brandon, Blake, Savannah, Bailey, Kristopher, and Jake, along with four great-children, Kynslee, Gabriel, Charlie, Joslyn, and a fifth on the way. He is survived by his siblings: Jeff and wife, Lori; and Sharon and husband, Joel.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Ernest, known to friends and family as Ted; and his brothers Ronnie, Roger, and Shelby Dean.
He was born and raised in Houston where he met the love of his life, Sharlet. They married in 1966 and raised their family primarily in New Caney. Larry was an avid reader who enjoyed taking long road trips through the southern United States, card games and dominoes with his extended family members, and in his younger days, was quite the hunter and fisherman. He was remarkably generous, never hesitating to help someone in need. Larry made friends everywhere he went, and relished having conversations with strangers and acquaintances alike.
He was both cantankerous and altruistic, never shying away from being true to himself and his dualistic nature. Each and every part of him will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
