Franklin William Richardson Jr.
Frank Richardson, Jr. was born February 25, 1943 in Flushing, New York to parents Franklin W. Richardson, Sr. and Mary Dugas Richardson. He passed away on August 24, 2017 at his home in Richmond, Texas. Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife of 21 years, Margie Gutierrez Richardson; Children Christine Clevenger and husband Ronnie, Cynthia Williams and husband Mike, Frank Richardson III and his wife Leisha Yerkes Richardson, Michael Richardson, and Eddie Richardson and his wife Wagma Noor Richardson. Grandchildren; Ross, Hannah, Sarah Clevenger; Luke & Ashley Williams; Rayna and Quinn Richardson; Rayan Richardson. Sisters; Mary Helen McKeaney and Nancy Marks. Nieces and Nephews, Katie Bricio, Mary Beth Walden, and Brandon Marks. Cousins, Alex Dugas and Jane Dugas. As well as Margie’s family, including Mrs. Lupe Gutierrez (Frank’s mother-in-law/Margie’s Mom, who helped care for Frank when Margie needed help); Lillie Ramirez, Rosie Guerrero, Teresa Gutierrez (Margie’s sisters who also helped care for Frank at times); Frank Gutierrez, Jr. and Fred Gutierrez (Frank’s brothers-in-law) Matthew Castillo and Gabriel Guerrero (Frank’s nephews, who also helped care for Frank).
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin W. Richardson, Sr. and Mary Dugas Richardson; A former wife and mother of his children, Sheila Calnan Richardson; Uncles and Aunts, Alexander Edward Dugas (“Uncle Boy”), David Dugas and Aunt Helen Loyd.

Mr. Richardson enjoyed Golf, gardening vegetables; following the Stock Market; politics, was involved with his children’s sports when they were in school, he loved helping Alzheimer’s victims at a church so their caregivers could “get a break”.

Frank earned his B.S. Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and then his M.S. in Chemical Engineering at New York University. He worked as LNG Technology Manager for Bechtel Corporation, 21 years. Worked 26 years for six other engineering and chemical companies as: Manager of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas); Project Manager, Technical Manager, Process Group Manager, and Studies Manager. He achieved many awards and honors during his career, some of these include ; Bechtel LNG Technology Manager for the Atlantic LNG for the
Atlantic LNG Terminal in Point Fortin, Trinidad, West Indies. Frank was responsible for managing the commissioning of the plant. He received high commendations from the Bechtel son/president, as well as the Bechtel Management.

A note from his wife: My husband, Frank Richardson, Jr. was a most “extraordinary” man. He was a man of great integrity, compassion, gentleness, and kindness. He was a wonderful husband, provider, companion, father, grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, friend. Frank was highly intelligent, yet the most humble man one could ever meet. He could do calculations in his head, and was most savvy in finances. He was very conservative in his spending (something we both had in common). He gave his life to Jesus Christ in November 1995, and from then, he lived a true Christian life. He didn’t say much but when he did, it was always profound. He had a “gentle quietness” that I loved and admired. Frank enjoyed humor, quiet times, travelling (worldwide), watching black/white Westerns on TV, as well as any kind of political ‘talking heads’, often disagreeing with most and giving his own ‘spin’ on the matter. He loved walking for heart health and walking our dog, Christy. He loved swimming (in pools, lakes, oceans), taking naps, and boy, did he LOVE food! He was always willing to try new/unusual foods (kangaroo burger in Australia!). Frank had a huge heart to help anyone in need. He was moved with compassion for anyone who had any kind of misfortune and, he was always ready to give or send money for their plight. He realized how much he had been blessed and, it tugged his heart when he heard of others who had to struggle just to survive. He read volumes of books (could give details, character names, themes). He loved going to any hardware (Ace, Lowe’s, Home Depot) and just stand in the same(!) aisle for eons looking at all the types of tools and gadgets. He always enjoyed just sitting next to me: whether we were eating a meal, watching TV, playing board games, at church listening intently to sermons…I will miss that immensely! Frank also read the Bible daily – at length, and he LIVED what he read. My husband, “Frankie”, as I lovingly called him, was “my Love”. He came into my life and gave me a beautiful portrait of what it means to be a ‘good’ human being. I will forever be changed, as Frank’s life was consistently an example of how God says we are to live: “love your neighbor as you love yourself”. I will forever love you, Frankie, my most LOVED husband and best friend. Thank you for giving me the greatest example of what it means to be “good”. I will miss you so deeply.
