Ruben Salazar, a loving husband, devoted father and loyal friend, went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2018 at the age of 66.
A Houston native, he attended San Jacinto High School and graduated from Houston Technical Institute in 1972. He spent most of his career in commercial printing as a Supervisor and Production Coordinator. He worked for Graphic Concepts, University of Texas Medical Center - Auxiliary Dept. and Precision Graphics.
He enjoyed all things outdoors – fishing, boating, camping, gardening and wood working. He was the family BBQ pit master and enjoyed tinkering in the garage. His best memories were made with family and friends - traveling, boat excursions, deep sea fishing and celebrating special occasions. He loved visiting Colorado and hoped to live there one day.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Mary Rodriguez on September 17, 1972. They were married for 46 years and blessed with three children; Arlene Jones, Stephanie Cassalia and Stephen Salazar.
The funeral service will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home located at 2602 South Houston Ave., Humble, TX 77396.
Viewing and visitation for family between 4-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 and Sunday, Dec. 23. Visitation for friends between 5-8 p.m.
