Obituary for Donald Pier Wiley

Donald Pier Wiley left his earthly bonds on July 5, 2019. He is now in the arms of his Redeemer and Savior, Jesus. Don was born in Galveston, Texas on October 25, 1940. He spent his early years in Fairbanks, Alaska. There, he became a police officer. Later, he came back to his roots in Galveston and was a police officer there and in Humble, Texas. He then went to work at Delta Airlines and retired from there after 35 years of service.

Don is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wiley and many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

He married Dorothy Wiley on January 21, 1992. They traveled the country and enjoyed life to its fullest.

He answered the call of God and became an Associate Pastor at New Covenant Church. There he was the leader of the Boy Scouts. He and Dorothy started the Prime Timers group at New Covenant. Don was one of the founders of the Patient Chaplin Ministry at Humble Hospital.

Don was a prankster and told some of the corniest jokes ever heard. He enjoyed the beaches. He loved going to Fredericksburg, Texas. He loved seafood. He had a special fondness for oysters.

It was a privilege and honor to know Donald Wiley. He will be greatly missed.
