Buddy Vassar
Remembering a time Morris Frank and I were just 12-14 yoa. We were up at Pappa's, Jewett TX. Morris and I wandered off from the house in search of a mine that we had heard the adults talking about. We did not tell anyone we had left (on-foot of course). Seemed like we walked for hours and we never found the mine (but I still know it was out there somewhere). We finally headed back for Pappa's home and we were met on the road by Frank and my Dad who were out looking for us. They were not happy with us to say the least. We had interrupted their planned afternoon squirrel hunt. It got pretty heated for awhile. Unfortunately that was the last time I remember being one on one with Morris in a personal way. Rest In Peace my friend.
