Condolence From: Cecilia Isenberg and the Goforth Family

Condolence: Our sincerest condolences to Cheryl and Brooke and the rest of your family. I do not know where to begin, but Coach Dennis was truly one of the best men to have entered into my life. Much of what I am today because he believed in me. From the first lesson at age 7 until I started coaching my own girls, Coach Dennis was there for me and believed in me. There were many days that he kept our family together over softball disagreements. He made my dad laugh and was a good friend to him. He was kind a patient to my mother. Always friendly to my little brother. I have always looked up to this wonderful man who encouraged me, coached me, listened to me, and even dried my tears. This world will miss such a wonderful man and we are all truly blessed that he was in our lives. He will never be forgotten.

Condolence From: Pedro Hinojosa - HFD

Condolence: When you hear the phrase "There are still good people in this world." Captain Dennis Mitchell comes to my mind because he was part of that very special group of people. He was a very humble individual and had a very lovable personality. As an officer, he took good care of his firefighters, always said hi with a firm handshake and an unforgivable smile. It's always hard to say goodbye to friends and colleagues. In fact, sometimes it feels it happens too often, but he can be sure I will always remember him and have great respect for him. I pray our God continues to look for him, his family and all those close to him in the forthcoming days, months, and years.

Condolence: We called him Neighbor......

For 13 years there was a vacant homesite next door to our little slice of coastal Heaven in Bayou Vista, Texas. Just on the other side I was already blessed with the perfect neighbor...then we were divided by Dennis and Cheryl's new home.

But divided doesn't describe the union that in a few short months that was created by our three families. It couldn't of been better. We are praying for you Cheryl....that The Lord make your paths Crystal clear. We love you. We really do. This little piece of earth has not had another soul occupy it since the Lord created it.
