Lois Gibbs
Patsy Kelly Daw and Lois Graham Gibbs were best friends, 75 yrs., since 1st grade at Huntsville, Texas, Elementary School. We were both born April 1936. Patsy on the 1st and me on the 15th, making her the oldest, please don't tell her I told you our age difference.
Patsy and I roomed together after college, 1964, as young teachers in Baytown, Texas. We double dated our future husbands. She dated Ken Daw and I dated O'Neal Gibbs.
Patsy and Ken were our children's, Lisa and Sam, God Parents.
We always met 2 or 3 times yearly to visit or to travel. We knew their friends and family as they also knew our friends and family.
Patsy was the youngest child of 5 and immediately the apple of her family's eye.
Patsy was always optimistic, happy, curious of everything, especially: nature, animals, travels, teaching, God, helping others, learning, family friends, church, and many other things I can't think of.
Patsy had a magic about her. She always made those she liked and loved feel as if they were her best friend. And when she talked to you, you were her best friend.
Patsy taught me to be a better person, friend, parent, wife and Christian. She always lived and practiced her Christian beliefs all through out her life.
Our family will miss her dreadfully.
Love, Blessing and hugs,
O'Neal, Lois. Lisa, Doug, Chip, James, Meredith, Chase, Douglas, Travis, Sam, Cathy, Shavawn, Doug III,
