Thomas Edward Connell, 6, died March 15, 2018 at Texas Children’s Hospital in The Woodlands, TX after an unknown virus took his life in less than 24 hours. Thomas attended Lakeshore Elementary in Mrs. Jennings’ Kindergarten class where he was also a part of the G/T program. Thomas was a member of Northeast Houston Baptist Church and sung in the Children’s Choir.

Thomas enjoyed playing with his brother, Pokémon cards, reading, math problems, exploring outside, climbing, wrestling with his dad, swimming, Minecraft and other video games, water balloon fights, building (especially with Legos), drawing, watching TV, soccer, frisbee, eating (particularly tacos), hot wheels, fishing, playing with his friends, and many other things.

Thomas is survived by his parents Josh and Stephani Connell; his brother Michael and sister Ruth; his maternal grandparents Mike and Diana Leach of The Woodlands, TX; his paternal grandparents Nathan and Wendy Connell of Anniston, AL; his uncle and aunt Kevin and Cami “Kay” McKeon of Houston, TX, his uncle and aunt Billy and Josie Evans of Griffin, GA; his uncle and aunt Brandon and Krista Connell of Ohatchee, AL; his aunt Lauren Leach of Fort Worth, TX; his aunt Kristen Leach of Oklahoma City, OK; his cousins Fischer, Hunter, and Amelia; and many great-grandparents and other family who loved him.

Thomas’ service will be held at Northeast Houston Baptist Church on March 25, 2018 at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Farrington Mission, where Thomas had attended events with his family helping to provide aid to Houston’s Fifth Ward. To donate, please make checks payable to Farrington Mission, with Thomas Connell in the memo line, and mail to the following address:
