Around three years ago during one of my wonderful day-visits with Aunt Doris in Huffman, we were talking about her hand-made, ruffled-scarves. She had given me a beautiful one the year before and how she still loved making/selling/donating them for her church. She had enough of them in her sewing room and asked me to come pick out 4 or 5 of them. I was so excited with her sweet offer, but insisted she let me buy them; so she would still be able to donate the funds to the church! I gave them as gifts to my sisters for Christmas that year; letting them know they were hand-made from our gracious Aunt Doris. Oh, how each of us have treasured our scarves! This is one of many lovely memories I will forever cherish with Aunt Doris!!
