Obituary for Margie Ann "Lyman" Stewart (Archer)

Margie Ann "Lyman" Stewart (Archer)
Marge loved her family, Southern Gospel Music, the Houston Astros and the different ministries she was in charge of at her church. Some of those included the past Bus Ministry, PrimeTimers, Heritage Night, Widows & Widowers and The Information Center.

Marge was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Humble, Texas for some 27 years. First Assembly is also the home church of all of her siblings and other relatives as well. She is also a descendant of the first family to settle in Humble, Texas. Marge worked for North Houston Exterminators for 14 years.

She enjoyed special times with her family. Especially Christmas Eve when everyone traditionally came to her house to celebrate Christmas. Jim, Nancy and Elizabeth usually flew in from Forsan, Texas to be with the family at Christmas time. When she needed “honey do’s” done at her house, Jerry was the one she always called.

For several years she, Linda Minton and Betty Grossnickle attended the Astro games as often as they could. She was so thrilled when Waylan gave her an autographed baseball signed by Brad Ausmus, her favorite Astro player.

Over the past year Marge’s health began to fail her, though her mind stayed strong and alert. She always looked forward to her daughters’, Connie and Vanessa’s faithful visits. Last Monday she finally realized it was time to go to her Heavenly home. Her children will miss her as well as her family and friends.
