Sherri Denice Butler, 54 years of age, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 5, 2019 at 1:25am. She was surrounded by her husband, her sons and their wives and her bonus daughter.

Sherri was born on December 31, 1964 to Emma and Sam Divine in Texas City, Texas. She was the third of four children between the two of them. Sherri was the epitome of love and kindness. She loved her family and she loved her husband. She became of mother for the first time in 1983, to Elliott. She had Joshua, her second son, in 1987. Her third son, Ryan, was born in 1990 and was blessed with her fourth and final son, Hunter, in 1997. She was able to see all four of her four boys grow up to be happy and successful in their lives to of which ended up giving her grandchildren, making her “Nana”, a title that she bore with pride and love. She married the love of her life, Tim Butler, on August 8, 2015. Through her marriage to Tim, she gained two daughters, Ashley and Angela. Between them, she gained 3 more grandchildren, bringing her total to 11.

She was an active member of her church. She led prayer and embraced in the Lord’s glory as she sang with their choir. Sherri was always on the go and stayed active. She loved her birds and her dogs. She loved spending time with her husband and enjoyed sitting outside surrounded by nature. She had an outgoing personality and an infectious smile. She gave the best hugs and always made sure you were dressed for the weather. She was a loving daughter, mother, Nana and wife.

Sherri was preceded in death by her brothers, Eddy and Tony; Mother, Emma and her beloved Grandmother, Divine.

Sherri is survived by Husband, Timothy Butler; Dad, TJ Thompson; Father, Sam “Peewee” Divine; Sons, Elliott Rolls and wife, Lauri; Joshua Divine and wife, Carmela; Ryan Staffa and wife, Chanel; and Hunter Kayser; Daughters, Ashley and Angela Butler; Grandchildren, Conner, Nathan, Layla, Shane, Skyler, Dj; Bethany “Sissy”, Grayson, Brayden, Scarlett and Kara; and countless other family and friends.
