Charlene Eberhardt Ingram, lovingly known as Charlie, Mom, Mother, Nee Nee, and Grandma, arrived at her heavenly home on April 1, 2021. She was 88 years old and a force that has forever shaped many souls with a radiant love.
Charlene was born March 19, 1933 in Apple Spring, Texas. She is greeted in heaven by her parents, Charles Hubbard and Minnie Bell Barfield; siblings Alton Barfield, Mary Lee Chevalier, Alford Barfield, and Ola Mae Benningfield; her former husbands, Robert Leroy Eberhardt and James Ingram; and son, Robert Charles Eberhardt and a host friends.
Charlene married Robert Leroy Eberhardt in 1954 until his passing due to cancer in 1973 she continued to provide for each of their seven children with love, dignity, and commitment. She resiliently entered the banking industry where she worked until her retirement in 1989. She married James “Bob” Ingram in 1983. Charlie loved a good cup of coffee with family and friends. Her presence was held with grace and dignity where she led as monarch of numerous generations. Her voice was soft spoken but with the authority and love always making you understand the wisdom in her heart.
Always, true to her position as head of the household of many branches leading with scripture, truth, and love. She led like a true leader, leaving no one behind protecting us all in a divine love, that is irreplaceable. The gratefulness of the blessed experience of her love, leadership, and faith is overwhelming and will be missed but forever in our souls.
She is survived by her children Paul Eberhardt and wife, Dawn; Debra Martz and husband, Kenny; James Eberhardt and wife, Maria, Edith Bark, and husband, Curtis; Joyce Henson; and Nancy Garza and husband, Javier. She also leaves a legacy of 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children and grandchildren.
