Joann Yates (Thomas), 84 passed away on June 2, 2021. She was a very loved grandmother, great grandmother, and mother. She loved Elvis, John F Kennedy, shopping and country music. She was a good dancer, basketball player and bowler in her younger days. She was a secretary for many years in different industries including oil & gas, major roofing manufacture, and Southern Pipe in Meridian, MS. She was a very talented multitasker. She will forever be missed.

Joann was born to Bessie Jay (deceased) and Otis T Thomas (deceased) on Oct. 8, 1936, in Meridian, MS. Her sisters and brothers Beatrice Lee, Nell Ishee, Marjorie Parmely, Juanita Thomas, Ray Thomas (deceased). Living sisters and brother Ruth Edwards, Janice Jones and Bud Otis Thomas. She is survived by her 4 sons, Tommy, Timothy, Terry Bullock and Darryl Partridge and wives. Her grandchildren Michael, Jennifer, Kristi, Terri Marie, Justin, Joshua, Jeremy, Kelsi, Nicholas and Nathan and her great grandchildren.
