Obituary for
Beatrice Marie "Bo" Ogden (Braun)
Beatrice Marie Ogden, 79, affectionately known as Bo, passed away peacefully in her home on October 14, 2021, after nearly two years of battling cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family as she was called to be home with her Lord.
She was born on July 25, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas, the oldest daughter of Alois & Dorothy Braun. She attended St. Martin Hall for grade school and then graduated from Providence High School in 1960. She met Anthony George Ogden in 1961 and they were married on October 20, 1962. She attended Our Lady of the Lake for two years before marrying Anthony. Once she had raised her three children, she attended the University of Houston and graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her: son, Michael Ogden, wife Colleen and children Casie & Kai; son, Carl Ogden, wife Lynne and children Tyler & Alex; daughter, Suzanne Rodriguez, husband Jessie and children Lexi & Jace. As the grandchildren were born, they began the annual “Camp Gran‐Gran” tradition where they would take the Grand-kids somewhere in Texas for one‐week (the Parents loved this)! She loved playing card games, working puzzles and spending time with friends & family. Her infectious smile lit up a room and she was genuinely interested in everyone! She could talk to a stranger for 10‐minutes and she would know their life history and the names of their kids and grand-kids!
She & Tony were always traveling somewhere in the world…they were fortunate to experience all seven Continents…even Antarctica just a few years ago! She kept their Travel Schedule so packed, that they had to keep a five‐year calendar to keep up with all of their trips!
She was very active at St. Pius V School in Pasadena where all three kids attended K‐8th. In their early years of marriage, Bo taught Piano lessons to dozens of kids over the years. Later on, she built up a successful interior decorating business throughout Houston which included Clients who would fly her out of town to decorate new vacation homes. She was very active in various Organizations including Junior Forum, Mu Alpha, multiple Bridge groups and co‐leader of the St. Pius Ski Club. She was a very proud Aggie Mom…Nana had three children and three grandchildren with Degrees from Texas A&M.
She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend! She was preceded in death by her parents, Alois & Dorothy Hauser, sister Cyndi Regnier and her son, Michael.
A Visitation will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home in Pasadena on Sunday, October 24, 2021 (Visitation from 5pm‐7pm with a Vigil beginning at 7pm). A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial contributions to be made to Pasadena Community Ministries or Project Joy & Hope. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Houston Hospice Hospital and At Your Side Home Care for taking such wonderful loving care of Bo in her final six weeks at home.
