Nicholas “Nicky” Adam Veliz was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. He left this world suddenly on December 17, 2021, at the age of 30.
Nicholas was a bike enthusiast who took pride in building and riding his own bikes. He was known to trek through the city of Houston with his bicycle clubs, “Illegal Amigos” and “Low Life’s Bike Club.” As an adventurer and as his mother’s “Crazy Train,” Nicholas was known to hike through the woodsiest of woods, slide down the snowiest of hills, and drink the coldest of beers on the hottest of summer beach nights. He had a contagious smile that was a beacon of light even in the darkest of rooms. He continues to shine his light on his family and friends as he provided lasting memories that will forever leave smiles on our faces and laughter in our hearts.
Nicholas is survived by his parents Eleazar Veliz II and Arselia Veliz; his two brothers, Eleazar Veliz III and Zachary Veliz; paternal grandfather, Eleazar Veliz; maternal grandparents, Adam Vierya and Maria G. Vieyra; paternal uncles, Jesus Calixto and Jose Renteria; paternal aunts, Rosa Calixto and Lucy Renteria; paternal uncles, Adam Vieyra, Eduardo Veliz, and Pat Moore; maternal aunts, Rosa Moore, Angelica Otto, Veronica Veliz and Anastacia Vieyra; paternal cousins, Jose Loredo, Patricia Loredo-Rivera, Norma Marmolejo, Jose Renteria Jr., Valeria Renteria, and Bianca Renteria; maternal cousins, Jonathan P. Moore, Noah T. Moore, Krystal M. Taylor-Vasquez, Ashley R. Mendoza, Nicole J. Mendoza, Adam E. Vieyra, Andrew E. Vieyra, Anthony E. Vieyra, Eduardo Veliz Jr., and Christian D. Veliz; and the rest of his friends and family.
Nicholas is predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Nicolasa Veliz.
