Eileen Potts, age 74, passed away on January 3 rd , 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas. Eileen was
born in Mammoth, West Virginia on February 25, 1948 to her parents Augusta and Archie
Young Jr. Her family moved to Texas at the age of seven and she graduated from Klein High
School in 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Allen, at the age of 18 and raised
3 children. Eileen and Bill were married until the time of his death in 1989. In 1993 Eileen
married Morris Potts and was married to Morris for almost 30 years.
Eileen started working at Texas Instruments in 1973 and at HL&P in 1975 where she retired
after 38 years. During her tenure at The Light Company, Eileen and Morris won the Volunteer of
the Year Award spending countless hours volunteering in the community.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Augusta and Archie Young Jr, her first husband
Bill Allen, and her brother Archie Young III. She is survived by her husband, Morris Potts Sr.
Her daughter Frances Perryman and husband Terry, her son Bill Allen and wife Angie, her son
Robert Allen and wife Janet, her step-son Morris Potts Jr, and wife Cheryl, her step daughter
Regina Fleeman, her sister Delila Usher and husband James and her brother Stanley Young,
and wife Sherri. Eileen was blessed with 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, with two
more great grandbabies on the way. Her babies were her pride and joy and enjoyed every
minute that she could spend with them.
Eileen will be laid to rest at Rosewood Funeral Home and Cemetery on January 7, 2023.
