Obituary for
Tyler Scott Young
Tyler Scott Young, 29 of Humble, was lost to all on Friday, July 7, 2023 as the result of a car accident. He was born on July 26, 1993 in Houston, Texas to Michael and Michelle Young . Tyler graduated from Atascocita High School in 2011 where he was a member of the Eagle baseball team. He then joined the United States Air Force as an Electrical Power Production Specialist. Upon returning home from the military, he attended Lone Star College and became a certified Mechatronics Technician.
He enjoyed working with his hands which kickstarted several years in the mechanical field. Tyler worked at Summit Refrigerants and AJ’s Small Engine Repair, both in the Humble area. In addition, he was a youth baseball umpire working for Texas Baseball Tournaments and CBCU Sports Officials.
Tyler’s favorite activities were related to sports, family, and friends. He enjoyed spending time at gatherings talking, eating, and playing games such as cards, pool, and darts. Tyler enjoyed a wide variety of sporting events, but was an avid fan of the Houston Rockets, Astros, and Texans. His favorite weekend pastime was playing softball with his Uncle Scott.
He will be missed every day by parents Michael and Michelle Young of Humble; his brothers Clayton and Bradley; grandfather, Patrick Pustejovsky; grandfather, Frank F. Young and grandmother, Mary (Betsy); uncle, Frank Young Jr. and wife, Jeanette; aunt, Debby Young Bingham; uncle, Martin Young; aunt, Heather Brown and husband, Christopher; uncle, Scott (Blk) Pustejovsky and wife, Becky; 12 first cousins; and numerous other loving family members and friends. We know Tyler is now with his Nana Linda Pustejovsky and is loved here on earth as well as in Heaven.
Visitation will be Friday, July 14 th from 5:00-7:30pm at Rosewood Funeral Home in Atascocita, 17404 W. Lake Houston Parkway. Services will be Saturday, July 15 th at 12:00pm, also at Rosewood Funeral Home followed by procession to and graveside service at Rosewood Memorial Park, 2602 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Tyler may make a memorial donation to Humble Area Baseball Association for dedication of an umpire bench in his name.
