6 September 1958 – 30 July 2023

Joeddie Pat Attaway (Joe), 64 of New Caney, Texas left this earthly world while in Hospice Care at his oldest daughter's family home located in Spring, Texas in the early morning on Sunday, 30 July 2023. Joe was born in Houston, Texas on 6 September 1958 to Patricia and Eddie Attaway. Joe did not attend college, but instead left school at an early age to work with his dad in the family business of Painting and Paper Hanging (Wall Papering).

Joe married his childhood crush Carmen Perez on 18 September 1975 at the downtown Houston Court House, and together they had four children; Jeanette, Joe, Lucy and Rudy. Joe worked as a painter, remodeler, and auction buyer / seller to support his family. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed going on numerous vacations and always inviting friends and family to go along. He enjoyed fishing, camping outdoors, hiking and exploring the wilderness. He enjoyed Barbecuing, and Poker nights. Joe also enjoyed old western movies which brings back a memory when in his later teenage years he wore a poncho because Clint Eastwood wore one. Joe studied Tae Kwon Do at Battenberg's Martial Arts earning his 2nd degree Black Belt; however, anyone that knew Joe knows he didn't need a Black Belt because growing up in foster homes and in the streets of the old Houston Heights Joe is known to have had many fights and no losses. Joe was a GOD-fearing man, a believer in Christ, protective of his family, and compassionate and giving to those in need. Joe will truly be missed by his many friends and loved ones.

Joe is survived by his wife of over 47 years Carmen Perez-Attaway; Daughters… Jeanette Attaway-Cosmi and husband Benjamin, Lucy Carmen Attaway-Rodriguez and husband Meshach; Sons… Joe Eddie Phillip Carmen Attaway, Rudy Richard Attaway; Grand Children… Adam Benjamin Cosmi, Matthew Wayne Cosmi, Valerie Andreea Cosmi, Amiya Luna Attaway Rodriguez, Emily Attaway; Sister… Carla Kay Jackson-Hobbs and husband Jimmy; Brothers… William Lyn Attaway and wife Lynette, Eddie Marcelle Attaway Jr. and wife Marie, Joe Eddie Attaway (GoGo) and wife Denise, Marcelle Lou Attaway (Mark), Carl Kenneth Jackson III and wife Christina, David Jason Browning Attaway; including many cousins, nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by Mother_Patricia Anne Hooker-Jackson; Father_Eddie Marcelle Attaway Sr.; Brother_Jesse Lee Wayne Attaway; and Sister_Stefanie Angel Attaway.

Viewing will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home located at 22271 U.S. Hwy 59 North, Porter, TX 77365 on Monday, 7 August 2023 5:00pm – 8:00pm

Funeral services will be held at Caney Creek Apostolic Tabernacle Church located at 16613 FM 1485, Conroe, TX 77306 on Tuesday, 8 August 2023 10:00a.m..
