Michael Raymond Austin
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Raymond Austin, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend, who valiantly battled pancreatic cancer. Michael's journey came to a close on the morning of Sunday, August 13th, at the age of 57, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Houston, Texas on June 1st, 1966, Michael was a man of faith with unwavering strength and boundless kindness. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is one of love, compassion, and dedication to his family and friends.
Michael's love story with his wife, Jennifer Austin, was a testament to their enduring bond. Their partnership was a shining example of unconditional love, support, and teamwork. Together, they faced life's challenges with unwavering unity and a deep-seated commitment to one another.
As a father, Michael was a pillar of strength for his six children: Jason Austin, Kody Austin, Ashley Austin, Kaylea Austin, Jared Powitzky, and Avery Powitzky. He embraced his role as a father with unrelenting devotion, teaching his children the importance of empathy, integrity, and hard work. His guidance and wisdom will forever be ingrained in their hearts, serving as aconstant source of inspiration as they navigate life's journey.
Beyond his role as a husband and father, Michael was a friend who radiated warmth and generosity. His genuine interest in others, coupled with his infectious laughter, created a welcoming presence that made everyone feel at ease in his company. He had an uncanny ability to light up a room and forge connections that lasted a lifetime.
Michael's legacy will forever remind us to treasure the moments we have with our loved ones, to show kindness to all, and to approach life's challenges with courage and determination. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the profound impact he had on our lives.
A memorial will be held on Thursday, August 17th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a funeral service will be held on Friday, August 18th at 10:00 AM at the Rosewood Funeral Home, 22271 US 59, New Caney, Texas 77357, where friends and family can gather to honor and remember Michael.
Michael’s spirit will live on through the memories we shared and the love he spread. May he rest in eternal peace.
