Lathan Earl  Bradford
Lathan (Earl )Bradford (Brad) Sr was born to Henry Bradford (absence father) and his precious mother Minnie Mae Bradford(Trull) on November 16, 1933 in Hull, Texas. Joined his wife Ester Delois Bradford (Neal) in heavenly rest.



He was known to his family as Earl or L.E. He attended JeffDavis High School where he thought was going to be a veterinarian. He was raised by maternal grandmother Mary France Smith (Trull) and grandfather George Washington Trull after the death of his mother in 1945. He had two newspapers bicycles routes with; The Houston Post and The Houston Chronicle. He married his school sweetheart Delois Neal December 21,1951 and had 6 children. Earl (Brad) become a Houston Fire Fighter in 1957. He served through-out the Houston Area. He retired after serving a 35 years from Fire House 26’s on Dixie Drive. He met his lifetime best friend while working as a fire fighter Melvin Wallace. He had a second full time career at the old Finger Furniture Store Warehouse for 20 plus years and retired that job also. He loved being a Houston Fire Fighter. It broke his heart to retire from HFD. He spoke often, how he wished he could be out there chasing the flames again. He continued to work as a yard keeper and minor repairs for the elderly for many years. Worked as a nighttime security guard at the galleria. He has always stayed ready to helpful to those in need.



He loved the Lord and knows Jesus as his personal Savior. He was always grateful for his precious mother and grandfather George Washington Trull for his early teaching about Jesus. His grandfather was an ordained deacon of the Baptist Church as well as the Worship Leader. He took L.E. to open and close the church every Service. He was there to hear all the services and loved to hear his Grandfather preach. He raised each of his children to believe in Jesus.



Earl and his bride lived in Houston their entire married life of 62 years and raised there 6 children Carolyn Jean Bradford , Gwendolyn Sue Bradford (Baye), Linda Lucile Bradford, Yvonne Bradford (Porterfield), Lathan Earl Bradford Jr, and Kristal Michelle Bradford ( Beard).

He is the grandfather to 8, grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren , and 3 great great grandchildren.





On November 17,2023 at the age 90 years and 1 day he left us for Heaven. Those preceding him were. Minnie Mae Bradford (Trull) mother, his bride Delois Bradford, his Mary Frances Smith (Trull) grandmother,his George Washington Trull his grandfather, his infant daughter Linda Lucile Bradford , Two 1/2 siblings as well as Aunts, Uncle, and Cousins.



Those left mourning his passing are his five children and one Son-in- law Donald Beard. His very best friend Melvin and Debbie Wallace which are considered to be a HUGE part of the family. His grandchildren Zollie Kendrick, Melvin Kendrick, Dewitt Kendrick, Kristal Michelle Bradford(Beard), J.R.Duncan, Stuart Duncan, JaTonna Lee (Mora), Jonathan Lee. His great grandchildren Jared, Layla, Derek,Alaysha, Rebeeca,Philip,Jeryne Mc Bride James II , Lauran, Autumn, Lane Duncan, Manuel, Arianna Duncan, Reno, Ana Mora , Serinity, Aurora, Sofia Lee. Great great grandchildren Louis, Rowena Huval, Sadie Mora. There are countless of other friends and family not mentioned that will greatly miss his presence.



The family would like to give a special thank to Houston Firehouse 26’s for a very special celebration for his 90 birthday.

And added thanks to Hospice Plus for the care and assistance given to our dad. That was faithful to watching his line.
