Ernest Roy Thieleman, 79, passed away on December 13,2023. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him Ernest was born on November 23, 1944 in Fort Worth, TX, to Marvin Ernest and Elvera Mae Thieleman.

He entered the U.S. Army in 1968 and when discharged went on to attend and graduate the University of Houston. He met Paula Sutterfield in Houston and they were blessed with 50 years of marriage. He spent 31 years with the U.S. Postal Service; retiring as a USPS Station Manager. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. More than anything, Ernest was a devoted husband and father who spent his life providing for his family. As a father, he was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

Ernest loved the great outdoors and spent most of the day outside whether in his garden or riding his bike throughout the neighborhood. His advice for any ailment was to get outside in the sunshine. He also had a love of dancing and anywhere there was music he would dance. He spent most Sunday afternoons at the VFW dancing or as he liked to call it, his therapy to his favorite country and western music. He was an active member of the senior community at the Humble Civic Center and enjoyed spending time with his friends. His positive attitude and love for life will be deeply missed by those who loved him, but we will continue to cherish the memories that we have.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Paula Thieleman, his son, Kevin Thieleman; granddaughter Jacki Bianchi and husband Noah, daughter Kelly Luna and husband, Roland along with an amazing extended family that he loved being with. He is also survived by his sister, Frieda Patrizio of Portland, OR, cousins, nieces, nephews and loved ones. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
