Douglas Joseph Ashley
Douglas Joseph “Joe” Ashley, of New Caney, Tx was called home on January 16, 2024. He was born on January 5, 1960 in Houston, TX.
Joe was a loving father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved to spend his free time hunting and fishing. He also spent much of his time with his grandkids doing things like having water balloon fights and nerf gun wars. He worked for Winco Masonry for 47 years along side some of his very best friends that he considered brothers. Anyone lucky enough to know him knew just how much he loved life.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank Cortez and Ora May Hopingardner, James Charles Elledge Sr. and Lillie Mae Elledge; father, James Charles Elledge Jr. and brother, Benjamin Ray “Ben” Elledge.
He is survived by his daughters: Brandy Nemeth, Mary Ann Taylor, Caitlin Milam and husband Taylor, Samantha Ashley and husband Joseph, and son Michael Chimene, Grandchildren: Sabrina Lucas, Kayla Nemeth, Jeremiah Nemeth, Olivia Edwards, Braedan Edwards, Lane Milam, Macie Milam, Stella Meza, Sophia Meza and Scarlet Meza, Mother: Rose Mary Elledge, Brother: Richard Charles “Rick” Elledge, Nieces: Candice, Brittany, Jessi, along with many extended family members and friends.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 21,2024 from 1-4 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, Rosewood Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm.
