Probably the best thing about being around Terry was that you didn't need to spend a great deal of time trying to figure out what he was thinking; chances were pretty good that he would just blurt out whatever was on his mind...the man had no filter! I, like a lot of others, appreciated his candor and honesty - although there were times when his tendency to share just a little "TMI" was followed by awkward silence while the rest of us digested whatever beans he had just spilled. That tendency to share spilled over into other areas of Terry's life and sphere of influence. I missed working with him when he retired and, even though we spent far too little time together over the past couple of years, I feel a fond and profound sadness knowing that he has passed on.
